Good man. I didn't think to invite anyone other than the 'Regulars' (retired ones)as I
expected all games to be on a Thursday, but I also expected a lot of the fun to be in
the diary approach I planned for the campaign.

If you don't mind being Sir Richard, your ship can set sail for Casevil this month.
A (crude) map will be shown to players tomorrow & I will try to scan it & put it on
the Casevil thread.
Orders are not to be detailed, you are a knight of the realm NOT an office clerk. :D
You will need to name your ship & give me some (not many) guidelines. I will fill in
any blanks & post a report each month on the Casevil thread.

Any questions I suggest you e-mail me, as others are listening & 'Loose lips sink ships' ;)

So wonderful to see the old Lamming miniatures finally painted. I have great memories of playing with Bill with his miniatures using his rules in Hull when I was a kid.

Lucky blighter!
Recently got some of his own WW2 figures off e-bay. I will only rebase them as I like
the original paint job.

Another nice retinue Pete. Won't be an island but a continent soon to contain them all :-).

The advantage of starting at a skirmish level Gregor, room for all of them.
Added to that, is the fact that there will be a LOT of in-fighting & dying.
That should thin out the population a tad.

Concerning Royals, though not from me, My lovely wife knitted a
King & Queen, also baked a Red White & Blue cake. All for Charity.
Figures a bit too big & wooly for me & I wasn't allowed any of the cake. :-[

To bulk out the troops on Casevil

I started tarting up some of the painted & part painted figures from the Lead Mountain.
811 = eight figures
812 = eight figures
Then I thought, 'No missile troops'. A delve into the unpainted pile got me four archers.
A quick paint & base job resulted in this.
813 = four bowmen.
My mind works slowly, even at the best of times, hence it was only at this point that thought,
'Hold on a cotton picking minute! If I took two knights out of the surplus box (which has since
made its way to Vodkafan for placing onto e-bay) repaired & rebased them, I'd have two more
retinues for Casevil'
May I present them & their allotted retinues
805, & 815 = Sir Robert De Lynne & troops.
807, & 814 = Sir Donald McClain & troops

At the moment it is six, but I am hoping to make it seven or eight.
More than that I think I would find it difficult to run.

It has transformed several file boxes of undone/part done figures into
enough to put on a nice skirmish game here if I need to.

Like you David I can get distracted very easily. Already planning:-
Natives (not sure what), and
Creatures & beasts (as featured in local Myths & Legends)

But unlike many (me) you actually finish most of your teams.  Well done.

Thanks Bloggard. Most are old painted/part painted veterans who
have seen better days. It is quicker to repair, tart them up & rebase
than to start with brand new figures.
More on the production line.

Meanwhile some Dwarf Houses. Originally from my favourite shop, Poundland.
I picked them up when they were getting rid of them at 25p each!
A quick(ish) paint job & they are ready for Grumpy, Sneezy, Bashful et-al to move in.

Good to see the old Essex miniatures. Like the heraldry.
