Used up some odd bits from the spares box.
They were supposed to be for a painting demo
at the school club, but weren't needed, so I've
just gone ahead & finished them.

Like the new additions - especially your version of the three-eyed beastie the yellow works well and one can imagine the absolute terror of seeing three bulbous giant eyes staring out from the inky depths...

Thanks, but I prefer your version. :)

Wouldn't want to meet one of those beasties on a dark night in the woods!
Another impressive round of output.

Saw on e-bay some 54mm figures. Included was a Royal Navy
gun race team. Instant nostalgia of watching the Royal Tournament
on the Tele, & cheering Pompey (Portsmouth) as loudly as I could.
Well I had to get it didn't I?
When it came it was in an even sorrier state than the pictures had
suggested. I was faces with several choices:-
1) Give it up as a bad idea.
2) Strip everything back to bare metal, grind off cast lines & bad bits.
3) Tart it up, but keep to the 'Toy Soldier' (yes I know they're Navy)
    look.
I didn't even consider '1)', As for '2)' ... far too much work. It would have
doomed them to the boxes of oblivion.  It had to be 3).

Finished the Pompey team last night. Spray varnished them
this morning.

Finished off the Army too.
First up all the repair work. As with the Navy I decided to
go for the Toy Soldier look, rather than an awful lot of work. :D
Not enough parts came with them, so the 54mm spare parts
box had to be raided. An Airfix footballer donated (willingly?) a
head & an arm. Other bits came too.

Bought some 1/200th tanks at Partizan. Some of the group
want to do Iran/Iraq war. Thought I will need some scenery,
so a test building using a scrap of Blue Foam. I haven't even
opened the packs with the AFVs, so my usual figure is there
for scale.

Only a few more to do, and you’ll have a village.
