A side project, OK one of many side projects, is to be a skirmish
game involving Celts (am working on a giant too), well amongst
some broken jewelry my wife gave me (rule ONE, don't throw
anything out) was a bright silver broach with Celtic knotwork.
A quick paint job (white with army shade to emphasize the knotwork
Add a couple of stones from the garden and a few sculls and we have
another bit of scenery.

Good stuff! Is that Celt skirmish game the one we planned with my Romans?
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

Yes James, though will get used for any Celtic themed game.

For the same project...
Purchased at Colours two Chariots & some Infantry (Ancient Britons) from
Grubby Tanks. His Britannia range. Show you them at your next visit.

From our local Supermarket I purchased three airport trollies.
Gave them a minor conversion (to make the loads look different)
& a quick paint & transfer job.
They are now ready for use in an AK47 Airport game.
As just terrain, obstructions, objectives or something to be used.
Drag that plane out of/into the way, or pile the recoilless rifles onto the back. :D

I would be keen to see the Britannia miniature Celt chariots given that their website has no pictures of these - Have you seen the Victrix set which at the price is similar in value https://www.victrixlimited.com/collections/ancient-gauls/products/celtic-chariot-1

Funnily enough, I also got a Celt chariot at Colours but went for 2 one pound miniatures from a bargain bucket, a warbases chariot see: https://warbases.co.uk/product/celtic-chariots/
and horses sprue by conquest games see: http://www.conquest-games.co.uk/index.php?cPath=28_29 so a bit of a saving...

Grubby is a very nice fellow to deal with, but always seem to be running like
crazy, just to stay still. He has agreed with my suggestion of getting everything
in his ranges photographed, BUT something else always needs doing first.
At Colours he told me that Casting was taking all his time at the moment.

If you want a picture of one painted you might have to wait a bit :(
I can do a picture of the 'kit' unpainted if that helps.

By the way did you get the WW1 Aircraft Rules? I don't scan things often,
so never sure if I've done it correctly.

He was a gift from Vodkafan. I'll have to ask him.
Why he thought , a short, bald, bearded person (me) would like a
short, bald, bearded figure I don't know. lol
I painted him (the figure, NOT Vodkafan) up in Pompey (Portsmouth Football Club) colours.
Blue top, white 'shorts' & red socks.
Pompey changed to red socks at the suggestion of Monty
(Montgomery of El Alamien) who had been based in Portsmouth
during part of WW2, & who thought it would be a reminder of
service personnel who fought in WW2.

The landing-craft are by Sarrissa & for 28mm figures.
I'll try & take pictures of the chariot, well the bits anyway, tomorrow.

Did the WW1 rules get to you?
I've tried twice now & they haven't been bounced back to me.
If they are still AWOL I'll have to post you a copy.

What is funny about the blacksmith miniature is that he bears an uncanny resemblance to Has Been.  lol
