A quick layout dry run.( tsg's WW2 thread)
« on: September 05, 2019, 01:01:16 PM »
I've decided enough is enough. I'm making figures left right and centre. Dag's has more of them colouered in than I do.So here's a thread to motivate me.
I'll add more as I throw paint around. For now this is pretty much my starting point.
Mark.

Wild and well-done!

The "authentic-looking" combined with "the imagined" has me intrigued and befuddled all at the same time.

Looking good! I had forgotten how nice the gas station set was. I am going to have to dig into my depleted wallet and make a purchase.

Cheers Chaps your proving real motivation to get something done.(I don't even want to think how much of a back log there is. Just intend on plodding through it.)
The truck is the adventures truck just with some of the mis printed wheels Rich H. sent a long with the nice ones. The print lines are hidden with in the direction of the mud dry brush.
Lon.
The second pump in the set is at the rear of the building. It was pretty common in my part of the world to have the older pump to be fitted to the smelly dirty 'diesel' and kept at the rear of or farthest point on the property.(luckily it still has a garage feel when viewed  from the back which helps on such a small building)
I'd save up a bit longer as there's a few more useful bits off for casting (including the staff car.)I've a copy of the aircraft ring mount to paint up.In its full glory its pure pulp. However if you just cut the extended gearing off its more in keeping with the interwar .For Home guard /WW2 you simply don't add the geared up rights.
Ewan the Austin lewis version should be available(just email Simon if its not on the website.)
