Great stuff….that really is an image you could expect in Dads army….do you have any home brew special rules for them?

Here is a video of the Home Guard roller skating in an urban environment:

I've not come up with any rules as of yet. Simply as I've not got any of these painted up yet.
I think off the top of my head. I'd increase their movement by 50% on roads and urban areas. Then reduce their movement by 25% across country.
Depending on your choice of rules I'd give a -1 modifier or an  initiative roll for hand to hand.( although there was a fighting style devised for skates.A the film show's it wasn't always effective. Mind you if you can remember the 70's there's a good chance you remember the odd scrap on rollerskates. A boot from a skate definitely got your attention. So a grown man laying in the boot isn't going to tickle. Even if he ends up going base over appex in the process.)
No modification for firing as it's trained for and you rarely add mods for firing on ice in game's.
Although it might be quite interesting to allow skating troops to move , fire, move again. In urban areas or on roads.
Ewart.
Thanks for adding the link . as I appear to be genetically incapable of a 21st century skill set

I really like the roller skating unit and the fact that you have a complete section is a bonus as Warlord Games only released one roller skating figure as did Footsore in their VBCW range. The Footsore figure is a civilian runner/messenger so would fit in nicely with these figures.

As for rules, if I remember correctly in the Bolt Action Sealion book the only real advantage they had was in their movement but will need to check as in Yorkshire on holiday at the moment.

Now the $64k question is when will they be released as I especially like the officer figure.

I can just see the Walmington-on-Sea platoon taking this up and being towed into action behind Jones' APC van.
