Just for fun here's another soft skin I'm musing over making.

Stop musing and just do it  ;)

Simon and Mick have released another two sets from the backlog. Unfortunately it appears the Jack Russell has dognapped between A and B .As it's not in the casting pick fir the downed pilot ( It's not a clear picture but I can't see it I  the picture so it could just be me.)

Is that first picture a mix of nationalities, or are they all supposed to be British? Or generic even, with paint doing the work of fixing their nationality? I can't quite tell from the photo if the figure with the peaked cap has a line above the cap badge (i.e. a bar with a circle below as a a simplified Luftwaffe cap badge) or what the device at his neck is, and I'm not sure if the fellow on the far right is meant to be Russian?

That's not meant as a knock on your sculpts, which are excellent, it's just that the fine details aren't reading well in that photo

(in the second one, the focus is so off, I can't even see any of the features of the presumably-German pilot at all; it's a blob to me).

Not really a knock on Simon or Mick either. I'm sure they were in a hurry to let you know and I doubt the second pic is meant as a shop image!

Cheers Ewan,
I've now officially run out of Laffer photos for characters.

Matt,
There's some photos of the 'green's ' on page 29 that are a little easier to read.
There's also a hint of other sets on the way if you look at the auxiliary water supply picture. Page 31
They're for the Follies,  As it going to be a one off set of downed airmen to represent an inter/ early war bomber crew.
Or a Pulp airship. Also a Fleet Auxiliary/Merchant raiding party.
I've no idea if it's the Cavalry and Snipers next or something else from the back log.I only know what's been released once someone tells me what Simon and Mick have posted on Facebook.   ::)

After talking to Digits about his Submarine pen project.
I mentioned I was musing over a series of revetments that could be used for both civilian and military settings in all theatres. Then to an extent they're viable for the entire 20th century.
I had to wait a while before mentioning them on here, As it required some generic measurements form mdf companies( Which has indirectly lead to a spin off project for an mdf manufacturer. So it's a win win musing for me.

Of course I'm not going to show everything that's been mused over. But here's a generic doorway/ entrance with blast wall, and a revetted corner. These can be used to represent everything from an air raid shelter to a command bunker or an ammo dump. By using these just propped against your existing buildings you can imply a different use for the building or make it an objective. Equally you could use them on ruined buildings, or even to scratch build a complex of buildings or a redoubt.

A great idea. I can see a lot of uses for those.

Cheers Chaps,
Just for Fun here's an OP core piece.  It has the larger concrete style air raid shelter ( suitable for both sides of the channel) in the picture it's minus a few details. As it fits with both the home guard observation team, and the Air raid ,and Fire watchers sets. I've left it as a stand alone piece that can be tweaked to those role's or simply used as is.
There's also an air raid siren set to fit onto the boards next to the shelter.

Sorry, sorry couldn't resist the obvious pun  :D

As mentioned a while back. I was planning on building a slightly more unusual bridge, and of course something for the bridge to go over.
I went with the premade HO railway bridge,as the starting point. It arrived yesterday ,and with a little tweaking it'll  do the job nicely. As it's never going to have something the size of a tiger tank trundling across it. I think once it's got the two external foot paths added ( so nearly an extra 70mm in width)
It'll still look reasonably in scale.
The bridge came in at 13.99 free p&p. Given that it's premade, and came with all that 5mm plywood. I didn't think it was that badly priced.( only a slight twinges of guilt knowing someone spent time and effort building it,and I'm going to cut it up.)
