18mm Blue Moon ECW [Update Oct 8] Pioneers & Engineers
« on: September 25, 2019, 05:21:51 PM »
I think Blue Moon has done an extraordinarily fine job with this range, yet I can't say I've seen painted versions anywhere. In any event - I've started up a big project using the full range and started with the civilian pack I finished a couple weeks ago. I'll add more as I complete them:

"One of My Men Became Restless" focuses on 15mm Horse & Musket periods and 25mm Horse & Musket, Fantasy, Horror and Victorian everything! Occasionally there'll be stuff of related interest but it's mostly a painters blog.  See it all here: http://flashman14.blogspot.com/

Very nice!  8) :-* 8)

I have these figures in my "15mm Pirate" collection... as well as the AWI civilians and other Blue Moon noncombatants

Exceptional painting and very nice basing.  Bluemoon, with such packs in so many of its ranges, has added a wonderful element to gaming for those of us who want to include the wider world in our games, the world beyond the battlefield.  And being in 18 mm, we have more room to do that.  Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the kind comments gents! Here's the latest, but tell me, do any common ECW rules require figures like this or will they be relegated to battlefield decorations?

Peter Pig have a "gamete" as a free download in their magazine issue 2
 https://www.peterpig.co.uk/the15MILL.html

The gamete in edition 2 is called the Petard Party and is specifically for a group of siege engineers trying to blow the doors off.

Not sure if I have seen any other games specifically aimed at pioneers & engineers
Gary, Glynis, and Alasdair (there are three of us, but we are too mean to have more than one login)

Both Partizan Press Sieges book and Warlord Games' To Kill A King supplement have siege rules. You would have to spend some time designing a specific scenario but it makes a fun game.
