Has anyone ever tried such a project, or something similar, to spice up (pun intended) their 15mm gaming?

I haven't, though the old Pirates of the Caribbean Chinese Junk looks like it would be perfect for this.

Just need to remove the masts.

It scales very well with the 15mm minis.  Peter Pig pirates shown in the pic.
