Warlord Games Chinese PVA Infantry are Tiny

Picked up a box of the Chinese PVA Infantry squad (Warlord Games Bolt Action: Korea) and my buddy picked up a box of North Korean infantry at the same time.  The Chinese look very nice, but they are surprisingly VERY tiny compared to the North Korean troops.  The weapons however appear to be the same size in both sets.

Anyone else noticed this?

ETA - Figures A and E are Warlord Soviet Assault Engineers
         Figure C is a Soviet scout car crewman
         Figures B and D are the PVA Chinese

Note the weapons seem to be scaled consistently, but not the figures.  I do recognize post-Revolution Chinese are not as big as beef-fed Americans, but this seems pretty extreme.  The figures themselves are very nicely sculpted; its just the size that has me annoyed.

No surprises here, just Warlord’s fabulous quality control in play. Put one of their WW2 Finns against their Australians. The Finns look undernourished hobbits by comparison.

Could be worse I prefer my Chinese to be on the short side, weird that the norks would be noticeably bigger when I assume they are being sculpted at the same time in the same studio.

Warlord have multiple sculpters and iirc sime of the bolt action stuff wasnt even theirs initially to begin with.

 That’s way off for scale ....

The initial BA stuff was Paul Hicks sculpts and rather nice.

Warlord lopped their heads, had Wotjek make travesties of human anatomy, and put them into the boxes as separate heads.

Truly terrible.

They’ve improved marginally, but so many better options than Warlord. Mediocrity at its most marketed.
