A very good guess Dave

, the brown coat points in that direction, but the lesser known unit I'm thinking of are described as wearing brown coats and green waistcoats - I did mention them in my (now defunct with the old .com website) Rangers Painting Guide very briefly. When I get time I'll re-format the painting guides and I expect this chap will appear in it.
