25/28 mm Napoleonic Ships Boats
« on: July 04, 2009, 04:35:30 PM »
Anyone know who makes these other than Redoubt - horribly expensive to ship to Oz and I want 2 or 3 of them.
Cheers,

Some pirate boats might be suitable too.

A cheap alternative might be toy shop conversions - perhaps from Pirates of the Caribbean action figures etc

I think Old Glory also do one with or without rowers.

Don't Eureka do a whaling boat? That might work. Maybe.

EDIT: Yes, they do.

Might not be exactly what you're looking for, but would probably serve as a base for a minor conversion and they are already in Oz so you needn't worry about shipping.  :)

Can't find it on their site, can you post a link, please?

Jollybob, thanks but not really suited for what I want. Have contemplated that one just for actually adding it to the lead pile. ;-)>

And thanks to everyone else for their help. I think the Britannia one is edging out the others unless I can actually see a pic of an OG piece.

I think Old Glory also do one with or without rowers.

Curiously enough it is listed under pirates and not "ships". No picture, naturally!  >:( http://www.oldglory25s.com/view_product.php?product=OGP-05. Although it says it has a pirate crew, they are generic enough (IMO) to be used as asilors of any nation.

I see they do also have just a rowboat listed also. http://www.oldglory25s.com/view_product.php?product=GG001

Strangely enough, I did manage to find a pic of the OG longboat today but buggered if I can find it again.

Ah, found it!! http://www.oldgloryminiatures.com/proddetail.asp?prod=OGP%2D05 .

The Britannia one looks to be more suited and I will pursue a couple of those, hopefully with some extra swivel guns.
