« on: October 07, 2019, 02:21:11 PM »
Some new ideas later, i found myself with a new project for OGAM. lol lol lol

THE FOMORIAN !

Starting, with a Fomorian Hero based on a Swamp troll from Reaper Bones.

After a head swap from a Yeti (Reaper Bones) and a modified weapon, you got that before the painting step :

and finally :

I love that headswap! What scale are you using him for? Looks to tower over those trees!

oups, 28mm for the mortals !
As the common Fomorian are Big guys, their heros must be bigger ! Isn't it ?

The trees are very small (N scale), indeed.

And now, it's time to see the Formorian god ; Balor

The king of the evil Fomorians is a hideous giant with an eye in the middle of his forehead. When this eye is opened, it shoots forth a poisonous beam that destroys everything it touches. Balor’s hatred of the Tuatha De Danann knows no bounds; in Irish myths, the Tuatha and the Fomorians fought an endless series of wars. He was killed by Lugh of the Long Hand at the second Battle of Magh Tuireadh (Moytura in English); Lugh’s sling stone drove Balor’s eye to the back of his head and turned its deadly power against the Fomorian army, which was destroyed. Lugh then cut off Balor’s head, which fell to the ground face-down; Balor’s eye burned a hole in the ground, which became Loch na Súil ("Lake of the Eye") in County Sligo.

looking like that :

and i'll use this big chap from LOTR magazine serie :

with a 28 mm Grenadier's barbarian for comparison scale  ;)

Cheers
Eric

The idea is to set up a led as the Balor's one eye.
so the figurine is perfect for the job  ;)
