These five items have been designed for use with Pulp Alley or similar plot driven miniatures games. They represent the pivotal moments or clues in the story line of 'The Thing'
The plot points are The fin of the crashed alien ship. Reporters camera on oil drum, alien plants being fed with blood plasma, radio desk, and block of ice (containing The Thing) on a sledge.
These are available to pre-order on Gamefound until the end of the month (31st October) for December delivery.

Cool.
Could really use a flamethrower, though...

As today is the last day for late pledges for 'White Out' rules and miniatures for gaming in the coldest places, I thought we would gather together some images of recently completed models to show off the great work that Mark, Jon & Nik have completed for the project.
We are still on schedule for shipping pledges in December. If you are wanting to modify your pledge, or place a last minute late pledge, the pledge manager is run by Gamefound @

This weekend I've been working on eight additional terrain boards for the upcoming photo shoot for the Whiteout rulebook. I've just but them out in garden to dry, so thought I'd take an opportunity to snap some photos of the Arctic Wildlife packs, outside with long arctic shadows!

Thanks, Mark has done an excellent job, as always. I would not want that Walrus sitting on me, 1700 Kg in real life.
The snow is from Woodland Scenic.
I brush on Tetrion, then paint ice blue emulsion all over, heavy drybrush with white emulsion, cover with PVA glue and sieve Woodland Scenic snow on to it.

Hi Bessy, photographed outside on a sunny day, which is always a help!
Jon just sent me this photo of the character pack inspired by the 1950's version of 'The Thing', which he has just finished painting for us; nicely sculpted by Mark Fuller, they should make a great Pulp Alley league.
The other breaking news is that if you missed out on the Kickstarter, for this stuff you will get a second opportunity very soon.
We will be running a mini one week Kickstarter from 29th November, titled 'Thats Entertainment' This is based around a couple of packs of entertainers, one with a snowy and seasonal link.
We will also be making all the existing Classic Movie range, including 'White Out' available as part of the campaign for shipping in Febuary.

Fun stuff...but what (at the risk of being called a reality addict by a smug-fellow poster) are those animals doing in Antarctica? Or are two frozen wasteland projects sharing a page?

The project is Polar & Mountain exploration, so covers action in Arctic, Antarctic and the Alps.
The inspirations that kicked the project off were the ski-chase from 'The Spy Who Loved Me'...
... and 'Ice Station Zebra'
We then teamed up with Richard Humble who was developing a set of Solo / Cooperative play rules for Polar exploration, called 'Whiteout'
During the campaign, backers proposed and voted on a number of new packs which were inspired by the 1950's and 1980's version of 'The Thing'
So, the theme is really cold and snowy places!

Nobody took the Titanic pledge, so the closest we got was the 'Ice bound ship'
