My Pulp Alley Table Gets A Railroad Track

I mean't to get this done about a year and half ago ::), however we have a game coming up some time next month so I thought I would finish off the railway track to fit into the canal.

With canal:

With railroad track:

Very nice I like the way it drops into the canal.
Is it possible to have both on the table at the same time?

I've a similar cereal packet track with the same sort of crossing point. As mine is a table top version it has hedges walls and bramble patches to distract from the table edge joint.(though admittedly it's not a subtle as your as I've let my eight year old add the flock for the brambles so It remains only 90% finished as I've got to wait until he's forgotten about his input .So I can go back and tweak it  :D)

Thank you guys.
I never thought about making it so there could be both; that is a really good idea but I would have to modify the XPS foam foundation of the track to do it... I am going to think about that.
Any rolling stock?
None yet, but I think Murdock wants me to get some. :D

Wow; that really works a treat! Is it a hassle to pry the railroad sections out of the canal, or did make provisions for that?

I like the entire table btw; both with canal and railroad.

Inspiring stuff... 8)

It is a little tricky. With the layers of glue and Spackle on the gaming side the foam has bent a bit which makes it easier.

Very clever, that's a smart idea, very well executed.

I just bought 9 feet of railroad track, plus points and I have to figure out how I am going to model them for the table. Mine won't be nearly as clever :)

Thank you gentlemen.

I have updated the table again, this time with picket fencing from Rubicon Models: link.
