Frode and I battled over the Furnace down in the Maze of Malcor tonight.

We ran in, bashed the Coal Men, grabbed the treasure and ran!

The Furnace in the centre of the board is guarded by 4 Coal Men, large, fire resistant constructs. If they beat you in combat, they throw you in the fire. (which happened to Frode's Deep One (proxy Bear companion))

A wandering Giant Rat appeared behind my party, I sent a thief to kill it (5 experience points!), the bloomin thing rolled 20 and killed my thief.  o_o

My super thug Lee took out two Coal Men (hero 8)), but that nasty Frode sent his warband against him and took him out. (He's not dead, just misses the next game)

Frode took control of one of the Coal Men, and sent it against a guard Coal Man while he nicked the treasure.

Great fun, thanks Frode for organising it all. The Gondolas next.

Rage continued with his Maze of Malcor campaign tonight with two scenarios played, the Gondola Docks and the Cloister.

Next scenario in our campaign. Absolute carnage. We got Mark Wheatley in to play the first shade Wizard of Malcor.

80% of each party was wiped out and only treasure token got off the table. Crazy.

Seeing you update your post finally made me get off my butt and basecoat my latest batch of FG minis.

Welcome to the Echodrome.

Rage and I played scenario eight of The Maze of Malcor this evening. Great fun as always, made especially brilliant by the thought Rage has been putting into the terrain and figures. (I just have to show up with my warband  8))

Look how he interpreted Joe's table setup when he said one side of the table should include a stage. Fantastic!

The forces of Malcor destroyed both mine and Rage's warbands in scenario seven. We survived this battle much better. Rage's Wizard took out the Wizard shade with a roll of 20, and my Ranger took out the Major Demon lurking on the stage with an arrow on a roll of 20. Hurrah.

Fantastic
Though I have to ask if sound effects came with the scenery?

No - well I would have expected a "drum roll" or two ... ... ...

Seeing another update makes me sad that all I did since last time was basecoat my latest batch.

In my defence, much of my paint dried up. :(

Scenario 9 completed, the Astracarnum.

Rage did better than me, taking out the Wizard Shade and running off with 2/3rds of the treasures. Gad.

We played through 2 scenarios tonight, bringing us right up to the grand finale. We just have one more to play, the final fight with Malcor.

Scenario 10, The Bender.
This was tough, the moving walls and demons popping up left, right and centre. Rage took out the shade of Kalish, I was chased out of the maze with 2 treasures and two dead Soldiers behind me.

Scenario 11, The Necropolis.

In this scenario, Rage's warband got bogged down at his entry point by banshees, ghouls and some pesky Imps. I managed to rush in with more room, and even though we had to face TWO wizard shades this time, I seized three treasure and took out 7 ghouls the Malcor player (Karl Tebbutt) sent against me.

We didn't take out the Wizard shades, but we are all set now for the final showdown, with Malcor himself.

And so we come to it.

The final battle. The Headmasters Study, where the Wraith of Malcor lurks. Rage and I came to a concord, lets get Malcor. We stormed into the Headmasters study like the tribe of Astrix after drinking Getafix's potion, and took him out in no time at all.

My wizard swung the killing blow with his hammer.

This has felt like a monumental campaign, 12 games since last May, thanks very much Rage!!
