Painted the figures from the first issue of Mortal Realms using a LOTR Army of the Dead scheme from way back. I'm happy with how they turned out.

Cheers Splod! That first issue was definitely a bargain, but purely opportunistic on my part TBH, I won't be buying any more issues. The ghosts will make a great SBH warband and monsters for dungeon crawls.

I agree the first issue was a bargain, though the 3 'marines' are of less use to me.
I will probably turn them into damaged statues.
The second issue does interest me. Not yet the full price, so six items for £5.99.
Brush, paint & four 'Banshees' at a pound a pop not too bad. The 'Banshees' will be
added to my graveyard stuff, as they are most definitely not Banshees, that is the
spirit that takes the form of a little old wailing woman. Their ones though are IMHO
well worth a quid.

Careful this doesn't turn into a general discussion about the publication, as that's now been incorporated into the General GW thread. Those banshees are pretty nice figures if they're the same as the ones previously released. Great for dungeon crawls and haunted encounters.

I was buying some bits from my local GW store the other day and picked up issue 2. They mentioned they still had some copies of issue 1 left, so I grabbed one of them as well.

Not sure I need that many ghosts, but a bargain is a bargain
