New Muskets & Tomahawks

Another teaser in the latest North Star newsletter, out 'early next year'.

Anything else you can tell us Nick? Hardback? Same card activation system? More unit types?

Read this myself earlier and the figures teased look very nice. More info on the rules would certainly be welcome.

Here’s a teaser for the new edition:

Looks like it will cover the whole black powder era with supplements

Dammit! Despite owning it, I haven't even played the first edition. :(

I was talking aloud to myself. A habit of the old: they choose the wisest person present to speak to; the long explanations needed by the young are wearying.

Looking forward to this. I really liked the first edition, I love the stories it brings to the table. A lot of fun.

Not as excited as I should be, I guess that I loved the specificity of M&T.

Still, might be a good system for Boshin War!

The original is still one of my favourite systems so I look forward to seeing what new periods, plots and events are available in a new edition.

Looks interesting.  To date, I've been using Donnybrook for my FIW with a light touch of Gothic Horror gaming, will likely give this one a look when it's out.

Yes, it does look interesting.  I'll certainly buy the first offering.  Maybe the others too but a lot is going to hang on the quality of the research that informs the supplements.

hello,
I'm very confident in the studio Tomahawk for historical research, they  proved in the past that they were at the best level!

Re-read warhammer historical "the great war"for exemple, historical notices are at the higher level!

Some of their games mix différent periods armies in a non-linear time like Saga , it's a choice  , but each army is very well and historically documented.

i had play many years Musket and Tomahawks and i  will use the rules for every periods in XVIII and XIX century games .
I was waiting since years for a rules like that for skirmish games !!

regards
paco
