I have finished two more figures and two more started. I picked up a couple more rubber stoppers and will have armatures mounted on them soon. I will then have six figures in total to work on. Which will get me up to ten crew members so far.

Here are the new two figures.

here is a group shot with a GZG figure for scale.

Hopefully, I can get around to finishing the bases and painting them soon. I did pick up a new bottle of paint for the jacket buckles and belt buckles. So I have everything to paint with. I can't myself to get these guys painted, stats done and on the table!

Just remember "If the Enemy is in range, so are YOU!

Thanks Cook,
I try to do a little sections every chance I get. I fine that I don't accidently screw something up, I work on the legs and boots ant the details for those first. Then I work on the belt items and the torsos. Next it's followed by the main part of the jacket the front, back and buckles. Followed up by the head which I do in two sections the head it self then the hair the next time. I then finish the sleeves of the jacket and the shoulder pads. Then the last step the hands and weapons or hand held items.

Wednesdays are my hobby days so I get started as early as I can. I do a section let it set for a couple of hours, then do another section. So on  Wednesdays I can get a fair amount done may three of four sections. Then on other nights I can I get another section done, sometimes two sections.

That is a pretty good way to go about things. I'm far less organized. I just kind of pick up whatever project has my interest in the moment. Once a week or so I seem to sit down and sculpt some. Far more often I'm terrain building though.

Doug, Cook.
Look up online for a diy lamp putty curing thing.
Basically it is just a tin can with a light bulb inside ( even leds produce heat) that way you can speed up the curing time of the putty.
Not to close as it may deform...
Pretty sure you can make one

Imagine & you can.

Ha, I typically need MORE working time. Last night was a bit of a race between my slow sculpting and the Green Stuff's working time. I like working while the green stuff is still tacky. Once it looses its stickiness I'm in a race against time.

Dan

I bought them at Home Depot you can find them in the specialty drawers in hardware. I use scotch tape on the end so that Green Stuff will not stick to them.

I try to have something else planned when my Green Stuff start to do that as well. I have a 3 X 5 card covered with packing tape much like scotch tape. So when the putty starts losing it's  tack and stiffens up I try to make lose weapons pistols, shotguns and rifles first for a gun shop project or to have for just laying about and supply points. I made a few holsters too. Then I try to make easier things like bed rolls with ties and folded tarps with straps. I snip the square ends off of a few small zip ties, l will fill the hole and they should make for some nice monitors. So like I said I try to think ahead, if I am not fast enough then, I just twist the hardening lump to make it look like a stalagmite.

Doug , I use an old credit card, plastic & easily bendable.
I make backpacks mostly so as to have ready made stuff for my scratchbuilt vehicles.
I also use press moulds made out of sprue to quickly make them. Just dip them in water, shake
off excess, so that the putty does not stick and then press blob. Trim whilst still soft & repeat.

Thanks for the links Dan... Tom Mason ... enough said :D :D :D

Tom Mason's videos are what encourage me to take that extra step.

Like I mentioned I am working on small arms handguns, shotguns and rifles not just for Sci-fi but for other different games too. I do need more bags and sacks Back packs are a good idea too. I want to make some larger tools wrenches, hand drills, and large hammers and other items for laying about.

I should make things like extra vehicle and ship parts and junk piles too! I do want to make a couple of scratch built vehicles from card stock and chip board and detail them out with putty.

I finished a couple of new sculptures and have painted up what I have done so far.

What I have learned, is I need to keep referring to the scale chart and not my eyes. A few figures managed to be a little bigger then the others because of "I got this, licked" syndrome.  lol lol lol
