Didn't Mongoose used to publish that game?

I believe it was one of several games which they promised and then failed to deliver until the latest point possible, at which point they'd already sold it; it may also be that the game was never officially released by Mongoose, but one of the many casualties of theri "we can sell everything, and we can make absolutely no mistakes" period...

Interesting concept that deserved to see the light of day.

I own the book. Not sure if I'll ever play the game, but it's a wonderful idea with awesome artwork.

I own the GURPS source book of the same name. It was published many years ago. It's a great idea. Chaosium has a space setting with a supplement or two.

Interesting, I love the artwork.

"we can sell everything, and we can make absolutely no mistakes" period...

Yeah, that mistake deprived me of easily accessible Starship Troopers miniatures over the long-run. At least I got some while they were there, but this is for another time and discussion.

Thanks for drawing attention!

As much as the whole mythos thing is an early 20th century thing, I always liked the idea of it in futuristic stories. Can be a cool diversion from just aliens this and aliens that. Besides, it makes sense. I could see people in deep-space operations getting a little weird over time just from the isolation and alien environments they would be exposed to. And I'm sure more than just Earth would have elder ones minding it. Dead planets with strange things on them? Slight snag from Dead Space, but different in many ways? Cultists in spaaaace :P .

Just food for thought.

Actually I played a game this summer. It's really a cool setting. The basic idea is that the world's energy problems were solved by the use of a very alternative power, which, unfortunately, is something along the line of transdimensional flux gates (or something like that). And we all know what happens once you start dabbling with that. Scientists have a tendency to go mad and together with the raw power you can get from these gates, you can also get - um - unexpected visitors. Also with unlimited energy supply, mankind started to go space exploring resulting in a meeting with a strange civilization called Mee-Go, who have nothing better to do than start an invasion on Earth. Well, it was really fun to play.
