Many more nice things - including the well with someone with the initials I.J. I believe nearby?!  ;)

I think Digits got a superfluidity of creativity genes.  So, I guess we can all thank his parents for that!   :o :D lol

All of your things look great.
I know the post with the vervet monkeys in is old, but I just saw it and was wondering were you got them from.

Just painted up the Warlord pack camels which doubles up my train.  Lovely models these.

I need to paint a few foot Arabs next I think.

I’ve been messing about working up a solution for irrigation…..may have to do a few of these and perhaps another well.

Also, I’ve been drilling out and attaching ropes for the Grand Manner bell tent.  I need a little plasticard to mount it on though yet.

The tent will get a little finds table out front but now I need to find some 28mm scale small egyptian artefacts ……anyone suggest from where please?

Camels, eh?  Filtered or unfiltered?    :D

I know, I know.  Bad joke.  But seriously folks...

Lovely job on those beats of burden.  They do indeed look the part....

Wargods of Egyptus (https://www.crocodilegames.com/content/storeImg/WGE-106.jpg
but that would be an expensive option.

Jewelry fittings might be a good place to look. Ear-rings, charms etc.

A small bit of Green-stuff could pass muster, if you use your obvious skills.

That seems to work…i have a few ladders on order but not convinced they will work.  I will keep eye out for some mesh though, thanks Pete.

I can’t find enough rustic looking ladders so will have to add some dreaded mdf ones I suspect…..I don’t have the will power to make those! Lol

I know you don't fancy building them, but they don't take too long (pic from my BSC2020 entry):

I used thin bamboo (from a cheap ikea window blind) and thin cord.  Glue the ladder together with superglue, then add the cord once it is dry. More superglue on the cord to toughen it all up.  If you intend making multiple ladders them a small jig from thick card might help, just don't glue the ladder to the jig!

Cheers fella.   Yup I can see the theory…but as you can see from my poor knotting skills….this may be one too far for me! Lol

I like your scenic piece though, nice work.

I had a look at the Crocodile Games website…they do some great little pieces, but for cost of $13 ….postage was a further $22!

Does anyone know of other uk suppliers?  Black pyramid hold very little stock.

Sorry, Digits, can't help with your details, other than maybe those little tube things in craft stores (at least over here), there is at least one that is Egypt focused.  Not sure items will fit size wise, though.

For templates, a sheet of waxed paper is a good idea.  Keeps the assembly away from the template.

I sure I will find something printed on Etsy…..that or there are a few Reaper bits I think…

Anyway, the palm plantation got me thinking on the next piece…..irrigated crops.

I decided to start with making the irrigated Chanel’s…using cocktail sticks.

Then used thinned down filler to give them a more contoured backed earth feel.  I also decided that I’d make another well, for this specific piece.  Combined with water trough aqueducts (sure I saw something like this at Ibelin in Kingdom of Heaven) to feed the channels.

I had decided too this would be a shady spot, so plenty of trees.

Ready for painting.

Your crop field and watering system looks good so far.

Also, in the shot with the scaffolding in the ruins, who makes that chap with the green hat going for his pistol?  I like that fig...
