Whilst sat here painting, I decided to get it based.  I will have to paint it pronto as I want to finish off the tree bases with plants and scrub so will do this at the same time.  Should make an interesting piece.

He of the very busy digits, Digits.   lol

I love that dead dino piece and look forward to seeing it 'enshrined' in jungle!

Dang it, now I have to pull out the raw materials for jungle and triple canopy rain forest making again and see what I'm missing.  Annoyingly inspirational.  Well, okay, maybe not annoying.  But reminds me how much I'm not getting done while you are flying through stuff like you have six pairs of hands (that's 12 hands!).  :o

At least I'm getting stuff primed - 180 figures last night for my East African adventures, sort of colonial, sort of exploring, sort of pulpy.  Going to order more porters, though (from Khurasan's West Sudanese range).  Have ten forces developing and every one gets a 3 leader stand, a 3 native leader stand, a 12 or more unit of European forces and 12 porters - short three sets of porters.  Plenty of native forces, too, and will be ordering some more Masai and Ashanti (not East Africa per se but its for fun), also dead Zulus and Generic Arabs (Irregular Miniatures).  And a few other items, too, from others.  Not adding dinosaurs to my mix but may have some Stone Age elements - Lost Worlds stuff.  Last week finished off priming my African animals and am now over 1,000 critters!  https://steeplechasingzebras.blogspot.com/p/the-steeplechase.html  Scroll down to the April 2020 entry for photos - what was primed last week is in addition to yesterdays batch.

Congratulations on getting back to work.  Alas, I didn't get any down time being an 'essential' worker.  Thankful for that.

It’s from home but that’s fine.....just sad working whilst directly opposite me are sat figures and projects waiting for me!

Still, not having to drive to and from wok gives me lots of time for hobbies.  Just a shame the weather is about to turn...

Anyway, I will get this painted as soon as I can figure what colour a brontosaurus is!

Five trees are now dressed.

And not bad for a bit of scenery.  I’ve never painted gore before so probably overdone it! Lol

Steak Tatare - maybe a little Dijon mustard, mixed with Tabasco and a dash of Worcestershire sauce would do it.

Still can’t remember who sold this model.  However, a quick search on eBay and there are dead triceratops and stegosaurus models with little chunks taken out of them which could be used in a similar fashion.   Don’t think they are quite as gory as this one....mere flesh wounds by comparison!

Anyway, fun to do but used up the last of my useful aquarium foliage.  Until lockdown is over and I can mooch about, I will have to concentrate on painting minis and working on my boat me thinks.

The colors indicate that is a very fresh kill.  Had it been older, you would have needed a 'blacker' red - and, shades of Old West stuff, you'd need to be creating a LOT of 28 mm flies!  (Now, if you think I'm picking on you on the fly front, just remember one day I'll have my 15 mm Old West up and you can pester me about 15 mm flies!  lol)

Another well done piece.
