I don't know how it goes, but I couldn't pass the first 15 minutes. The "battle" in the jungle against Pánfilo de Narváez lads got me. Particularly, when I saw Cortés with Anduril in his hands! Come on!

It was released in Spain on November 21st and in Latin America on the 22nd.I don't know when/if it will released in the states.

You have to give it more than 15 minutes my friend. There are 8 episodes each one a view by different participants the last episode being Cortes himself.It has been renewed for a season 2

I took this to mean "some strange fantasy sword that has no place in a historical setting", but then, when watching the trailer, at 0:23... 
Guess we never knew what happened to that sword after the main story ends. Like many other artefacts, it appears to have gone on a ship to the west...
