Got the Archers painted to a tabletop standard. Wasn't super into working on these, but they turned out ok I think.

Also finished some form of Hero that can join the unit if needed. Our current theory for Oathmark is that Commanders acctually go pretty well in ranged units.

I think they came out great! I also like the hero. Nice color choices.

And we come back briefly to the first project in this thread, the Guardians of the Autumnwood. Had to have this lovely model from Phil Hynes' Bears Head minis. I had been looking for a good Ent-type mini to use, especially as I can awaken forests in game with this force.

Thoughts?

Bears Head miniatures do some very interesting and characterful miniatures, dont they? (They also offer good service - I ordered a couple for a friend one evening a few weeks ago and they arrived two days later). I like the way this Ent has the hint of a face without it being too obvious. The autumnal paint job looks great too. Where did you get the leaves from?

Yes, and he does some of the best animals around too. The leaves are from Green Stuff World, I think they're just coloured birch seed pods.

It's a kitbash. The body is from Victrix saxons, from the command sprue in that set. The arms are from the Oathmark elf kit, cut down a little to fit on the saxon body. The head is a Frostgrave wizard bit.

Nice work on the Guardian, mate - you must have enough of a bestiary by now to run a hell of a Frostgrave/RoSD game.

Thank you! I have a pretty massive bestiary for Frostgrave indeed, far from all of it posted online. Did an extended random encounter table in our last campaign just to accomodate my collection :D

A small update for my Autumnwood Guardians. The Lords of the Wild have a special unit of shapeshifters that can hide in units of Warriors that seem pretty fun. Just need some more melee Warriors.

The models are from North Star.

Finished a couple of units for my Oathmark army. Nothing fancy, but it will do. A box worth of oathmark goblin wolf riders and five small wolves.

As you can see from the side shot, the wolf riders do not rank up well. I had to take the rear bar of off the Sarissa movement trays as they were way to tight.
