I just found this topic. One of the best fantasy kitbashings I ever seen!

Thank you! Been a bit unproductive lately but I hope to have some updates here again soon.

Since you guys liked the terrain here is a quick snap of my collection of Fogou Models stone huts. I can not recommend them enough, lovely product.

Thanks for the plug, these look awesome! And this is the first time I've seen this thread too, brilliant conversion, kit bashing choices and painting that ties everything together really nicely. Now pics of the minis with the huts please! ;)

All of the above. Two of them are based on 2mm mdf, two on 2mm plasticard and the hilltop one is foam. I use Vallejo texture paste to texture and then a mix of flocks, finshing with some grass tufts.

Any particular reason some are on MDF but others on plasticard? Is there a preference? Do you need a specific tool to cut and round MDF?

Thanks again!

Check my Dark Ages thread for a few at least. Great job making them!

What I had lying around. 2mm mdf can be cut with scissors and hobby knives, but thicker mdfs need proper tools which I lack.

Another little random kitbash for today. Using the new Frostgrave Knights kit together with the barbarians to make a more barbaric Templar for Frostgrave/Rangers of Shadow Deep.

Got some painting done today too. Going to spend some time getting a beastiary expanded for Dungeons and Dragons (in case I run that in the future) as well as Frostgrave and Rangers of Shadow Deep.

This cute boy is from Steamforged Game's range called Epic Encounters, made in a kind of hard board game plastic. Painted up nice and quick.

Looks great, I've been considering grabbing the kobold and dragon boxes, the dragon seems quite impressive and I could use them for D&D games anyway.

How well attached are the minis to the bases?

Pretty firm but it was possible to get the basilisk off its base without ruining either. Had to cut through a foot tab that was glued into the base.

Nice work on the basilisk.

Really like the Frostgrave kitbash as well....haven’t got a box of the knights yet, but on my todo list

Another little update. I've had my eyes on the Reaper Bones stone circle for a while. It's one of those things where I could break out the foam cutter and make one myself, but the Bones is very affordable and will be a lot more durable for transport and play. Quick and dirty drybrush and some tufts to get it ready for the table:

Another small update today, got the Barbarian Templar kitbash painted. Very much doing odds and ends right now, some Rangers of Shadow Deep, some Dungeons and Dragons, just trying to chip away at the mountain of plastic.

That’s a handy piece of terrain...must confess hadn’t looked at their terrain before now.

I like the pant job on the kitbash figure as well...keep chipping away at that mountain  ;)
