So I have accumulated a variety of terrain over the last five years or so, ever since diversifying my gaming away from competetive Warmachine. Problem is, as it always is, that a varied interest leads to a varied terrain collection. I do not have space for a varied terrain collection, and I hate the fact that all my terrain pieces are not compatible with each other.

I have medieval and fantasy villages, rain foresty bits, ruins that I have yet to snow flock for Frostgrave and green forestland terrain for Oathmark and SAGA.

I've thought about this for a bit and came to the following conclusion: I do not need tropic or wintery terrain fro Frostgrave and Ghost Archipelago at home. We play those games at the club where there is already terrain. I do play Rangers of Shadow Deep though, and I do like the idea of a deep mysterious forest.

Tl:dr I started basing/flocking all my terrain to match a specific style, and the style I picked is lush temperate forests.

These are the first ruin pieces I've flock up in the last days, GW Azyrite kits based on mdf.

And a Bad Squiddo statue and ruined staircase from Ziterdes:

Thank you! The paintjobs are not new, but I never had the lighting to really photgraph terrain before. My new lightbox is a bit bigger, so I can get shots like those above.

Looking good. Always on the look out for ruined terrain in 15mm, though I expect there are GW’s?

Yes, these are GW. No idea about where to find 15mm terrain as I only do 28mm.

very timely - I'm looking to do something similar with the same GW pieces for my heroscape project.

Thanks all! Any ideas for Disordered? Blood stains, broken weapons?

Great figures.

Do you have any casualty figures or left over figures you could kitbash into the deceased?

Alternatively what about getting some 28 mm chickens?

https://www.serious-play.co.uk/products/serious-play-28mm-wargaming-scale-chickens-resin-animals

One of them on a round base, perhaps edge the base in yellow.  I presume disordered has a negative morale effect?  Or you could use these for routing/withdrawing troops if that is a status in Oathmark.

That is a very funny idea! Disordered is indeed a negative morale, the only morale status in Oathmark. The unit suffers penalities if attacked and has to pass a Morale test to activate. If they take casualties and fail a second Morale test they rout completely off the field.

Another step in the chronicle of turning all my terrain green. This piece is from a company that I really don't like (they never delivered stretch goals and the resin is awful, smelled foul for ages) but in the end it looks pretty good. I added a Mantic dwarf king throne to the top of the piece.

Just like the ruins above, the paintjob is a bit older (several years in this case) but I have redone the base to fit my vision of the dark enchanted forest full of strange ruins. Frostgrave ranger kitbash for scale.

What do you think?

That's a lovely piece of scenery. Your paintjob and greenery work make it look very much like a ruin that would be found in a forest. With the seat, it reminds me a lot of Amon Hen from Lord of the Rings.
