The sculpt is a bit busy and over the top for my taste, the helmet in particular but your brushwork and color palette is spot on for my kind of thing. Nicely done mate!

Yeah, I agree, it is the colour choices that really make the figure look good. It looks like an easy miniature to get wrong!

A couple of big monsters added to the bestiary today. First up is the Cosmo Wolf from Wizkids Magic the Gathering range. Bought this on a whim, but absolutely love how he turned out:

And second the big temple snake, this guy is from Steamforge Games' Epic Encounter range. I think that's a 100mm base it's on.

Those are excellent! Really smooth tones and transitions on the temple snake. It must be huge if that's a 100mm base? I love the wolf, real Sif from Dark Souls vibe there.

Thank you and yes, they are absolutely massive beasts. The wolf is ona 75mm base as well, it towers over regular 28mm models.

Jumping back and forth on projects as usual, this week I managed to finish the eight mounted Rangers. I built these back in July, unpainted pictures are on page 31.

Simple kitbash for the most part, some Oathmark light elf arms (and a pair of elf heads too) on Oathmark human cavalry. Two of the figures are a little more involved, cut down Frostgrave female soldier bodies with heads from Fireforge's peasant sprue.

These guys will function as warriors with mounts and composite bows in SAGA, giving my Lords of the Wild a bit of speed.

What do you think?

Those mounted rangers are fantastic - brilliant kitbashing and paintjob. I particularly like the bases, the different colour tufts really make the bases pop. And I think that the female ranger conversions look great, well worth the effort.

That’s enough gushing for now! lol I recently bought the metal mounted ranger champion for use in Rangers of Shadow Deep, think I’ll get him painted soon.
