I don't know that I need a unit of Javelin upgraded Soldiers (or Warriors) for Oathmark, but when has that ever stopped anyone?

This is about a sprues worth of Almughuvars, with some light kitbashing: two Oathmark human heads, two Victrix heads, some backpacks and pouches from random sprues, a Wargames Atlantic Irish shield and an Oathmark skeleton shield.

They look great, and it’s certainly not about “needing” ...if you “want” them, that’s a good enough reasons  8)

Have I missed something though, or is the figure second from the right wearing a Father Christmas hat and matching beard  ;)

It is one of the funnier heads on the Victrix viking sprue. Seasonally apropriate at least.

So I built a few more. I really do think that these mix very well with Oathmark humans. Both arms and heads mix well. I only found two Oathmark infantry bodies, or I would have done a few more. I think they look really good with the Almughoravid heads and arms. I also had a go at kitbashing with some Victrix bodies, making a champion and a regular soldier. This is a little trickier, as the design on the Victrix kits is a bit more distinct in style and proportion. It can be done, but I would consider it a little more advanced kitbashing.

Thank you!

Managed to build the last four today to make a unit of 20. These use Victrix saxon bodies with Almughavar weapons. Heads are a mix of Oathmark and Fireforge. I still have almost half of the spanish kit left for other kitbashes.

My favourite here is probably the one with the hood getting ready to stab someone in the face (I have really enjoyed building and posing with the cleavers in this set, need to make some Frostgrave thieves with them as well). The one in mail would make an excellent Rohirrim I feel as well.

Wow! You're getting a lot of mileage out of the kit!

The kitbashes look great, the dynamic poses work really well

Sometimes you just see things and want them, right? This new dragon kit from GW really grabbed me, best dragon they have ever designed I think, and with the added benefit of being hard plastic. The only modification I made to this was to green stuff over the sigmarite comet on his chest.

Good work mate, you’ve done a great job with it - I agree it is a lovely looking kit.

I’d be tempted to get one myself (minus the front set of limbs) for Westeros

 :)
