OK, thank, yeah, I have a heap of reaper bones and bones black, sometimes they come in parts and need to be assembled, did one last night, the 2 headed Etin, needed to glue the heads and hands on, was hoping this guy would be the same.

Hey guys!

Getting pretty hype for Oathmark now, couple of people in the club who are interested. I for one really like what we have seen with Kingdoms and the very flexible army construction rules. Started fiddling around with the Kingdom construction rules that were previewed on Ospreys' blog and created something that features grassy plains that turn into hills and tall mountains further from the capital. I envision a cavalry heavy human army with some Ogre and Goblin allies. In my mind I see the Dunlendings from Lord of the Rings, but maybe as a more developed nation.

With that in mind here is a little hobby update for the weekend. First a repeat post from my Game of Thrones thread. This unit is build from Fireforge Northmen, Oathmark humans and a lot of Victrix viking bits. I had thought they could be Umbers, but I think I want my Game of Thrones models to be a little closer to high medieval. I will stick to Claymore and Perry in the future of that project. Instead these fellas will find a home in Oathmark.

They are joined by today's work. I inventoried my Victrix sprues and came to the conclusion that I had a perfect amount of armoured bodies left. My Dark Age projects are focused on SAGA, and that ruleset mostly asks for lighter armoured troops, so I had pillaged every unarmoured body from the sprues leaving me with 18 mailed bodies, one unarmoured and one in brigandine. Perfect for a 20 man oathmark unit. A little greenstuff fur serves to make them look more fantasy and less pure historical. I think I will also go with square Oathmark shields for the army to reinforce that they are not vikings.

What do you think?

Great looking kitbashing. Your reasoning seems sound.

The units are looking very cool. I'm quite excited about Oathmark as well and planning to get a couple of small armies ready for the release, so I'm looking forward to seeing your models painted to stay motivated.

Thank you! I think I will build a bit more on this before we get painting, but that's just because I really like the building part.

In a good groove right now with building, so here are some more recruits for the Grey Company (because they are unpainted, get it? *groan*)

Five horsemen built from my last remaining Fireforge Northmen cavalry from the kickstarter haul. Will have to get another box to fill these out to ten strong. Fireforge horses and riders, with Oathmark human arms, Victrix viking axes and a mix of Oathmark heads and Fireforge northmen archer/peasant heads. Will go back over these and add some pouches and extra weapons. Not sure if these will get the square shields of the infantry, or round.

And then as I sat an pondered my next step my eyes happened across the lovely Aethelflaed from Footstoore. I bought this model on nothing but pure want, with no plan at all. However with a new horse she will make an excellent leader for this army. Very hard to photograph in her shiny white resin. She comes both mounted and on foot.

Great progress...really like the new additions.

Personally round shields make more sense for horsemen...less likely to get caught up on your gear?

The fur trim adds a lot to those cav models. Love it!

Well done all around.

You guys wanted pictures of painted miniatures right? Well, guess what? I kitbashed more stuff instead.

This unholy creation uses my favourite weapon from the Oathmark sprues and favourite head from the Victrix kit, stuck on a Warhammer Kairic Acoloyte torso on top of a Fireforge Northmen cavalry model. He will serve as unit leader for the cavalry.
