Yesterday we played the last game in the Farseer Tower expedition. Since my opponent had won the second scenario he got to defend and I had to cross the table and try to secure his side. I felt that this suited his mostly dwarf army quite well, and I had a tough time gaining ground. I lost two full units to artillery fire before even engaging in any melee combat. Still, the game ended with not too bad a loss as I was able to kill or disorder several of his units with some cavalry charges.

I only took one photo, of my army list before the game. Note the Dire Wolves used as unit fillers to get a full unit of 10 wolves. Wasn't super impressed with these, so I won't stress over finding proper models for them.

A very good looking force there! It looks like a heavy- hitting army with enough variety to have a bit of tactical flexibility.

Thank you guys!

Just a small update today, I made some tokens. Always enjoy seeing Captain Blood's immersive tokens and have been wanting to do some myself. These represent that the unit has activated (footsteps because they've gone, so clever, right?). Just a quick and dirty job with some bases and earth texture.

Thoughts?

I like those, a clever idea with the footprints!

They should work well to show activations, and blend with the table

Nice work on those activation markers - very effective, and a damn sight easier to make than ravens...wish I’d thought of it  lol

Thanks all! Still have to make some tokens for Disordered. My mate made some broken shields, but I am out of the square shields I've used for the army. Maybe some broken weapons....

A (not so) small update for the day. Bought these Star Wars trees from MicroArt studios, and snazzed them up with some paint and flock. They do come pre-painted by I wanted to do a little fixing to cover some mould lines and ended up repainting them. These are hard foam, super lightweight and feel pretty sturdy.

Helpful Storm Giant for scale.

I love The Tokens too. The Lion Sleeps Tonight took an obscure Zulu song and made it into a classic (though I feel bad for Solomon Linda, don't think he ever got paid for it).

Um... No wait. I meant those ones you made. They are pretty much the same idea I had years ago for a Lord of the Rings figure that I never got around to making. It would have been called 'Frodo wearing the Ring.'

I am slowly coming over to the side of the 'no paper chits' brigade. Don't suppose I'll ever be as fanatical as the good Captain, but I am certainly seeing the benefits of the philosophy.
