The houses look great, ripe for pillaging and looting. I really like those newer GW orcs too, very nice.

Managed to finish some odd bits of Rohan reinforcements as well. I'd bought some Footsore anglo danes way back when they first came out, but had no plan on what to do with them. After playing my Rohan as Anglo Danes one time on a whim I decided I may as well paint some of these up. The four with plumes are the pack of hearthguard with dane axes. The plumes are from Victrix bits. The fellow in the middle is the Warlord with heavy weapon, which is a requirement when playing anglo danes.

And as I had the paints out I also finished these three mounted shieldmaidens from Medbury Miniatures.

Excellent set of Rohan scenery you have assembled there, and the mixture of various figures for them painted in a fitting unifying colour scheme look great too.

Beautifully done! Both groups will add some variety to the (already quite varied) army you have mustered.

I've had a big hobby day of finishing things. Besides finishing up a pair of medieval units for SAGA, I managed to get finishing touches on a whole bunch of swamp orcs. These have been on my desk for quite a while, just getting little blobs of paint in between other projects. Wasn't terribly inspired painting them, but as I finished the bases today I found myself really happy with how they look.

The figures are large parts of two named boxes for Warcry and Underworlds. I still have the goblins/hobgoblins from those boxes to finish. I will just use these to fill out units of regular spear orcs if I ever get around to actually playing anything with this army.

Also snapped a picture of them with the Boss and his pet apes, he's from the same Monster Hunter box as the lads in the back row.

Great painting!

I'm glad GW diversified away from just making the "square jawed" orcs of the last 20+ years- when they started that style (I think it was Brian Nelson who revolutionized the GW orc in the late 90's or so(?)- loved those early ones especially like the wrinkly shaman) it was a big step up in the threat level that the orc miniatures exuded. But after a couple of generations of Orcs and Space Orks all following that design, they all looked a bit the same. I've mentioned elsewhere that the swamp orcs look a bit like Tolkien Orcs on steroids, which one can take or leave, but I like it and that they've mixed it up and have a world in which more types of orc and goblin run amok.

Nice work!
I have a YouTube and so can you!

Thank you! I agree on the orc design, one of their better moves. The new look was my main reason for buying the Dominion box in the first place.

I’m in love with these! I’m actually just getting to play the MESBG rules for the first time with a local crew here in Mexico City where I just moved. Nice set of rules and I chose to go with Rohan so I’m getting some serious inspo from these posts. We started with a few battle companies skirmishes but will be working up to full games by end of year.
