Andy with the exchange rate against the euro you will be paying about £12.50 per packet compared to £9.20 from pulp figures. Not sure about p&p. From pulp figures there are various deals on the amount you buy. May be better working out what to buy and comparing the two costs.

Oooh I wish I loved them, but I can't.
It's not just that I'm not that keen on the 'cartoony' style, it's the fact that the Pulp Figures style is so distinctive, that I just don't see these fitting in with my Brigade and Artizan merchant sailors  :?

Well, from the ones I painted (no seamen), I feel your painting style does a lot. They don't look out of place with my other minis.

Yes the new Pulp Figures are nice like always and the sculpts are fantastic
BUT
Did we need more Sailors and Sikh Inf. ?
I mean copplestone ,Artizan ,Brigade and also Pulp Figures    himself have them allready in the list .

I find the last two sets more useable the Surly Servants and the The 16th Precinct are a dream !

I would love to see more useable figures all the stuff I miss in the ranges of the other big Pulp companys.

what do you think ?

Wasn't it Bob  Murch who more or less invented the pulp sailor?  We can hardly complain that he continues his interest simply because others have copied him.

And I agree with White Knight that Pulp Figures can look pretty darn normal, especially when based and painted like the rest of one's collection.

you are right I also think Bob invented the pulp sailor and his sailors are the best on the market .
Also I agree with White Knight and you that paintet  Pulp Figures gos very well with other figures in your collection.
 :)
But the Sikh Inf. is so normal in my eyes .
Anyway it is all about Everyone to his taste.

Note ! I love Pulp Figures and I don´t want to decry them it was only a very very small criticism from a happy customer.

cheers Grimm

Yes, but those are Sikhs in 37 pattern webbing, Grimm, for 1930s and 40s. Before we have had Victorian Sikhs and WWI Sikhs. This is an altogether new kind of Sikh.  ;)

Yes they are! Good for a game of Clue (?) too. lol

Have to say I agree with the others about the pulp sailors though. Excellent sort. And the variety means I can never have clones and need not purchase some from another company. King Kong games don't ship themselves.

That about sums it up. I heartily agree.

As I mentioned, I recently painted some of the old sailors for a commission. I managed to get a few decent shots before I sent them off.

In return he sent me the new pack and a fantastic resin giant ape, maker unknown. I do know that 1)he got it from RLBPS and 2) those sailors are in a lot of trouble!
