I thought this may be of interest to any Arnhem buffs? Not directly wargame related, but it’s part of my wargames room display. The cap badge was worn at Arnhem Bridge by Major Dennis Munford RA. The Major’s souvenir ticket was given to the ‘actors’ at the premier of the film ‘Theirs Was The Glory’…

Interesting that the gliders are described as ‘crashed’ are all landed gliders crashed, or do some land cleanly?

Having seen footage of Horsa gliders landing on Blighty airfields after training flights at best

about sums it up!
I think
'wrecked'
gliders in Battle of Arnhem terms refers to the deliberate burning of gliders on the L/Zs by the Germans.
