Alright, finally got some shots of the painted figures from my game of Atomic Cafe at Historicon.

These first two squads were painted by John Newman. And the Strumming Samurai was painted by Chris Smith.

All figures and rules are from Brigade Games.

You can find them here:

Buddy Holly is referred to as the Strumming Samurai.

That atomic cafe looks to be a fun, but strange game,  wouldn't like to be on the end of a bowling ball  lol

Cool, Cheers.

i thought he was a reference to the guy from this film:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118736/
who in turn is a reference to buddy holly.

Very nice mini though.

He is inspired by the six-string samurai, but of course we don't want to use other company's names.

The Michigan State Bowling League

Not to be difficult, but with those colors they look more like the University of Michigan Bowling League (maize & blue). Michigan State's colors are green & white... ;)

Michigan State as in the State of Michigan. No university affiliation. Look at how old most of those guys are, they'd have to be quite dim to still be in college.  lol

The state of Michigan is unfortunately infested with fanatical middle-aged supporters of U of M who wear the maize and blue and look just like that...! :o
