And the tile is coming along, making sure there's no holes...and getting ready for the fish.

This is promising to be one cracking build! Can't wait to see the end result, which should be suitably gloomy as mentioned. The idea of having branches growing through the building is pretty cool and will undoubtedly add to the abandoned and ruined atmosphere.

Ah, the joys of hacking away at a block of Styrofoam, then trying to find just the right little bits to glue back on to create the undulations you’re after... I know it well  lol

Oh yes, I am in the middle of it right now; I'm doing an entire table with integrated hills and cliffs. I accidentally bought a new pack of boards 5cm thick instead of the 3cm I was working with. All kinds of necessary puzzling with the cut-offs I still have of the old batch going on now, to prevent having to shave 2cm off the new foam... ::)

Me too! And now very intrigued by the fish ... ??

That! :D
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

It will have been such a nice tower and beautiful site. What could be the story behind it's demise?  Looking forward to the final moody cinematic pictures.

Thanks mate :)

First resin pour is in,this is crucial to do before finishing the tile, otherwise one gets a highly out of scale meniscus.

lol There is a Northen Pike already in there.

With the various water mediums, such as resin, you get a meniscus that curves up at the edges, way out of scale for true water. I hide this edge with plants,et cetera  :)

I was not aware of that definition of meniscus!

the convex or concave upper surface of a column of liquid, the curvature of which is caused by surface tension.

Yep,I guess different liquids have different effects on surface tension :)
