Ok, making a start on this....
So just a reminder, this will be a piece of terrain for my 28mm Game of Thrones project, representing a derelict/ruined hovel or farmhouse somewhere in “the North”, so mainly stone construction like this one from the TV series.
That said, I think the one used in the series was a bit too well made for my liking...I want the workmanship to be a bit more shoddy, otherwise frankly it won’t be much of a ruin!
My main challenge is going to be TIME...work has gone nuts, my own job has always been pretty full-on but now I’m covering another role as someone retired, so I’m away from home pretty much 5 days a week, and my hobby time at the weekends is coming upon pressure as well, so this is going to have to be a pretty quick build.
That rules out my original plan which was going to be to hand carve the raw materials, so now I’m going for a much quicker method of just cutting some irregular blocks out of a sheet of PVC Foamex....they will be a bit too “blocky” for my liking, but hopefully I can mask that a bit later on.
First up then, the basic shape of the internal space.
