OK started....

Start by guessing at a 2d profile
Pull that into a solid
Mess about with the radius and fillet tooling.
delete lumps
try again...

Beauty of cad is if I don't like something I can roll it back and try something else.  Just chopped 5mm out of the nose and removed all the fillets.

Sometimes it's better to print the thing then fix it with a file!!

I split it in half again as I keep making changes and it's easier to do one side the mirror later.
Moved some of the intakes around a bit and the final version will be liberally 'fettled' with a file anyway.
Going to add more of a bulge around the cockpit too, obviousl it's open to a lot of artistic licence!   (Like the whole fin!)

My plan is to dremel holes in it in the appropriate places, construct a wire frame from copper wire and skin it wil ali tape.
Might actually add the holes in the cad to reduce the amount of resin and dremel time plus make things a bit more consistant.

Then using a hypodermic I'll apply a small amount of ferric chloride (Used for PCB etching) which should eat the ali...  it'll eat the copper too but slower.
Wash down in lots of water to stop it when it's eaten enough...  I'm hoping it won't touch the resin.

In theory....

So the intakes weren't right so I tore it down and started again pretty much....  a slightly different approach to the intakes this time and I angled them back first then chamfered them.  I think it looks closer to the original now but maybe the proportions are off a bit still...

Proportions are off, might stretch it see if that helps.

Getting ahead of myself (as normal) but I'm tempted to build the cockpit interior, remove the canopy and put a skeleton crewman in.
