Empress Kneeling Figures.
« on: July 16, 2009, 08:36:01 AM »
We are very pleased to announce our latest Zulu War figures. We are releasing an extensive selection of British infantry in kneeling poses. This release includes everything from classic firing lines to scouting and skirmishing figures. These are with our casters now, and will be going up in the shop within days.

There will initially be 16 kneeling poses ranging from a firing pack, a firing line, a kneeling charge and a pack with various poses. These packs are designed to compliment the standing poses that exist.

Packed to be sent to the casters to fill a master will be the first of the dismounted cavalry, some standing firing line Brits and some Married Zulus with firearms and some very lovely new horses from Ebob.

Then.......Lots more to come ;)

Excelent stuff. British firing lines aren't complete without a kneeling front rank.
So many projects..... so little time.......

Perfect for manning that mealie-bag wall, which is of course, "de rigeur" in Zululand  lol

Yet again, great additions to the range. This will I'm sure become the best and most comprehensive set of Zulu War figures available.

You're right, in fact, any time now.  :)

I wish someone would make some kneeling askaris for Darkest Africa.

Very nice figures!  Might sound a bit pretentious, but how do these measure up to the Perry range?

Thanks for the nice comments ladies and Gentlemen  :)

By measure up we assume that you mean size as opposed to quality?

Size - Ours are slightly larger. Zulus are easily mixed due to the mass effect. Brits are more difficult. We would not mix them in the same unit but they would not look greatly out on the same table.

Love the kneeling figures... each has such fantastic character.

On a somewhat reated note, is there any update on the irregular cavalry?  I'm really looking forward to seeing the models for these.

Thanks,

Rob

First cavalry = Natal Police. 4 figures to the unit.

Dismounted firing line 2 x kneeling, 2 x standing - Finished and being moulded at this moment.

Horses completed.

Mounted versions of above being sculpted so that they are mounted versions of the dismounted ones.

We plan to release the set together.

Next cavalry unit up Carabiniers.

The greatest delay has been the getting the horses correct. Once the first unit is done the rest should follow fairly quickly. We have to admit though that it has all taken far longer than we ever thought it would  :'(
