There's plenty of KS guides but none, that I know of, which are 28mm mini specific. There's a pile of FB groups which may prove useful, want some links?
Several groups of variable utility. https://www.facebook.com/groups/TabletopKickstarters/https://www.facebook.com/groups/2142687125800389/https://www.facebook.com/groups/BombasticWorldKickstaterProjects/https://www.facebook.com/groups/1585844725009055/https://www.facebook.com/groups/450566495104262/https://www.facebook.com/groups/856626121075699/I've run seven KS projects so far and have a couple more lined up, so if you're interested in having a natter about it over the phone or whatsapp just ask, we can sort the details via PM. I would offer to do it via text/messenger but I don't want to have to type it all out, again. My main piece of advice is "Do it."
What Arrigo says. Go look at similar 28mm KS and see how they present and price their miniatures. Big difference between a one-man metal miniatures KS, and a plastic miniatures one. Post a description of your KS here, with pictures, including painted miniatures and unpainted greens or renders. You need to prove you can deliver. If you already have a retail miniatures business, mention it on the KS. If you don't have one, start one. You should already have a newsletter, so you can announce your KS to your existing customers.
I think it would help to present miniatures that you cannot obtain elsewhere.
If you are thinking about KS the information here should help....https://johnnyborgcastings.blogspot.com/2014/12/my-dog-ate-my-ks-funds-part-1-of-10.htmlPart 1 of 10, so there is a lot of reading but should answer most questions.
I'm also researching a small miniature based Kickstarter. This is great info. Thanks for sharing!
