Shield Transfers
« on: August 28, 2023, 04:07:14 PM »
Does anyone know if the waterslide shield transfers for Gripping Beast Saxons are a fit for the Victrix Late Saxon/Dane shields. I know that LBM do really nice ones specific for the Victrix figures but I struggle with them as they are sticky backed and can't be moved about like a waterslide transfer. Many thanks.

When you say “the water slide transfers for gripping beast” which maker of shield transfers are you referring to, and are you referring to GB plastic or metal figures?

Battle flag sell some good dark age water slide decals, whether they fit will depend on whether you have metal or plastic figures.

I agree LBMS transfers are trickier than water slide, but many people prefer them as the artwork is fabulous and the colours are more vibrant.

I have been making my own transfers for the last couple of years using decal paper for my inkjet printer and I find that very rewarding.

I also meant to say that the Victrix saxon/Viking shields have up to 4 different size round shields on the sprue!
