US Based MDF Vendors?
« on: January 13, 2020, 01:59:53 AM »
Warbases UK gives great service and has good product.  But there's got to be folks in the US selling similar?  I'm looking for some links to folks worth giving my $$$ to for that sort of product.  It seems like it should be a good savings in terms of time and shipping costs?

Thanks for your suggestions!!!

Don't Litko do all that sort of stuff?  Seem to be the most common name on US based fora.

Litkos prices are ridiculous. I'd go Warbases and cough up the shipping before I'd go Litko.

TTCombat is post free worldwide, IIRC, or at least a small flat rate.

Considering just how many UK based MDF suppliers there are now, I'm really surprised that there aren't equivalents in the USA.

I'd echo the comment on Litko's pricing - back in the day it was probably justified as the cutting cut was expensive and hard to get hold of. Now it seems everyone has a laser cutter.

Warbases cost for 100 3mm x 25mm round bases is over 12 pounds or $15 USD.  Litko is $12. The 1.5mm thick bases are both around $19 for 100.  To me the plywood bases at Litko seem just as reasonable as warbases.  Am I missing something?

I buy Litko bases by the hundred count bags for DBA, etc. and find the prices very reasonable.

They also do sales several times a year if you're not in a rush to stock up and can wait for the next one to come around.

Things from the Basement has a big selection of laser-cut MDF kits and bases. As there are so many different base size options only some of them are on offer in the shop. For any specific sizes please send an email and you will get a quote.
