You (& a few others) are winning me over to circular bases.
Lovely work.

Fabulous Aly, I actually placed my Sassanid army on my new display case today, first light of day they have seen in three years.

Cheers

Greetings...

As always thank you for your kind comments and support...

Matt ... Sassanids are far too pretty to be kept in the dark... hopefully they will see some combat.

Has.been... I think that the round bases work really well for the big skirmish games I am aiming for.

All the best.  Aly

Aly,

This army is one of the more complex outfits I suspect it's possible to paint. I find your project more than a bit daunting. They are all beautiful. I look forward to an AAR in the future.

Greetings...

As always thank you for you kind comments and support...

So... another new unit.
This time it’s unarmoured spearmen...

I think that I have now got enough toys to play a couple of games...
So I will probably pause the painting for a bit... I certainly won’t be stopping as I have lots of lovely lead in the mountain...

There is as always a bit more on the blog...

All the best... and keep safe and well... Aly

Aly, I've followed this thread since the beginning and it great to see how you have progressed . I have a Gripping beats Sassanid army and after many years thought  finally  bought an A&A Palmyran army in June, which I managed to finish in a record 6 weeks. I have now purchased an A&A mid-late 3rd Century Roman army which is now cleaned and primed ready for painting.  This will be my main "winter" project.

Thank you as always for your kind comments and support...

SJWi... I am very tempted by the Palmyran army as it would be a colourful and useful addition to this project... being able to fight either of the forces I already have..

After a bit of a break I have now finished my first building for this project...

A Roman Temple from Warbases...

It was a joy to build and I am now working on a Villa...
