Gents,

I'm sure some of you saw this already, but take a look at what the guys at Gale Force 9 did, the did a game board of the Daily Planet Offices,

Yes I saw that, I really love the window etchings. I wonder how much they charge for something like that? Been thinking about this sort of thing for a strip mall I'm building for a friend for near future gaming.

Agreed on both counts. Too modern for my tastes. Wish they'd made it period generic, at the very least. But it is a really great piece, and I'm not saying I wouldn't gladly play with it/on it, etc;)

Well, when you say "Daily Planet", I think of the Daily Planet from the classic Fleischer Bros. Superman cartoons of the 1930s or the cheap sets of the 1950s, television show, not a set of soulless modern corporate cubicles...

Not to take anything away from the GF9 terrain piece. It is a great achievement. I suppose if it was intended for gaming with modern-era Heroclix figures, an old-timey look might have seemed out-of-place...

With the exception of flat-screened computers that doesn't look anything like the modern-day offices I've seen. Though it's not really 30's-50's looking either. Must be an alternate dimension?

But man, stuff like that makes me wish I had already bought an etching kit by now.

No worries Grimm, I'm sure yours will be more interesting anyway. Theirs is too cookie-cutter.

It's excellent isn't it.

All cut out with laser cutters and things. They are SO expensive. WOuld be cool if they sold these sets as flat packed...

You can also do it with glass etch and a stencil, or a screen. I've done a bunch of projects like that professionally.
