Mark ??? has the same problem as a lot of sculptures. The hands are too big. They are bigger than the faces. This looks terrible. The rest of the figures are normal, but these gigantic hands... :(

I've worn the two part arctic gloves on exercise, they do make your hands look big, but better than getting frostbite!

Was looking through my pics from Norway, and my hands funnily look huge, never really noticed that before, but well as said better than no fingers.

Huge, but not gigantic. But there are also figures without gloves and they have problems with the scale of the hands. A problem of early '90-Figures. The designer of 20mm Figures never had these problem. He should work on doing it better...

I'm just about to do a test paint of the 1st Soviet Paras in Arctic Kit miniatures.
Any one got any ideas for colors, or should I just do them with white over garments?

I’ve been looking at snow camp painting techniques recently for various reasons. I have seen the following suggested on Warlord Soviets:

Coat of Vallejo deck tan. Then Army Painter soft tone. Another thin layer of deck tan, followed by another, thicker layer. Vallejo Ivory. Maybe the odd white highlight.

The comment about the hands being larger than the faces strikes me as bizarre. You can look - and literally measure - the photos and see the hands are quite clearly smaller.

They look perfectly reasonable by tabletop standards, and that style isn't dated to the early 90's or whatever. It's just a style some designers use and it's as current as anything else given how much variety we have these days.

Don’t we all! And I would buy a miniature too.

I know this might seem like threadomancy, but
OK, most likely 1/48 then.
We use a very talented and experienced designer. The 28mm DB5 will be a perfect match for the figures we use for this sort of gaming, i.e Pulp Figures, Crooked Dice, Classic Movie Miniatures, Artizan, Copplestone etc. So if it needs to be 1:47 or 1:49 to look right, that's what we would do. That is the beauty of digital design of masters.
With all the excitement of your pulpy snowy stuff, I only spotted the car was in your 23rd January release list today.

So what scale did you decide?

Yes, we did release the 'Classy Car' last week. Not sure the exact scale, it's a gaming piece and designed to look right with Crooked Dice, Artizan, Copplestone, Pulp Figures, Classic Movie Miniatures etc. I will ask sculptor next time I see him, for completeness.

Car with some Crooked Dice agents

Car with some Copplestone agents

Some of the other spy-fi inspired by my favorite films models from January release.

Nice.

It certainly looks like it fits the bill.
