The above scenario (for To The Strongest) was written using details from the lesser known Chronicles of Kermit the Hermit. It's taken me a while to translate from the Latin so, there you go.

I hope you enjoy, if only the pics.

I remember marvelling at a Crusades game you put on at Vappa a few years back (very near the Gripping Beast stand).  8) 8) 8)

Do you mind if I ask who produces the Ox Cart in the sixth picture down please?

Most of the wagons and baggage bits are a hotch-potch of stuff - E.g. the camels are Perry Beja Warrior camels with Milliput and balsa baggage bits added at home. The carts are manly Irregular Miniatures bits and pieces - the sides of the one in that shot are actually bits of their ladders. Boxes, crates and stuff are Irregular too, in the main.

The brown and white oxen are Foundry - I originally bought them for West Country ECW limbers and re-purposed them to this project after a new paint job - but, I can't remember what range.

The wagon and oxen are of different bases.

Thanks. Quite a lot to consider :)

Finding baggage for the Crusades, outside of mule trains (most of it was probably this) is always a bit of an issue. The camels are a case in point-I looked at commercially available baggage camels and discounted them because of the 'low volume sales' retail price. I bought the Perry Minis Beja camels from their Sudan range and re-purposed them (dumping the riders) with home made baggage for 33% of the price of ready made. The home made additions were very simple to make at home - and quite good fun to make too! Good grief, even I can sculpt a sack!

Great paint work, especially on that patterned fabric. Good advice on the baggage train conversion.

They certainly are beautifully painted.  I especially like the supply camels.  Wonderful stuff.
