two versions of the Master:

The Anthony Ainley version is a pretty dodgy likeness really, the pose is quite nice, but the head is about as unlike Ainley as you could attempt. Not a fan of the mini, but it needed doing:

Now the Roger Delgado version is a lovely mini, captures the character and the likeness lovely... the profile in particular is perfect, but then he is my favourite version as well:

have the Decayed Master and the Eric Roberts version kicking about, but it's been one of those months... aptly summed up by a Frother as:

Very nice! Delgado is spot on, but I agree with you on the Ainley scuplt...

Lovely, always a pleasure to see your Who stuff.

The Ainsley Master was 'my' Master if you will, gloriously camp - but as you say the mini is an appalling likeness. Round head, huge ears and puffy arms! I went with the Eric Roberts mini and added a green stuff beard, that seemed to work quite nicely.

Incidentally, I've just finished Doctors Eight and Nine plus appropriate companions - will post next week once I finish bloody Sylvester McCoy. Just wondering now if I should start looking for a tweed jacketed and bow-tied Matt Smith...

his twitter said he has started on the figure, but the head is giving him trouble.
although if you are after a 9th or 10th doctor then you can get those from heresy already.

anyone know where i can get number 4, 5 and 8 in roughly 28mm?

I can wait! I have enough distractions already - have also just painted the Celestial Toymaker and am about to start work on a gang of nightmare toys. Based, primed and waiting for some free time...

Yes, Black Tree for Eight - the giraffe has spoken!

The only odd thing about the Black Tree minis is that the heads seem to vary in size somewhat - Doctors Six and Eight both have rather big heads (not helped big their big hair) compared to some of the others. Much variation in sculpting across the whole range really. Eight is a nice mini otherwise - I just wish I could find a decent mini for Izzy (his companion from the comics), the Hasslefree alternatives I'd pick seem tiny compared to the Black Tree sculpts.

the only BTD DW sculpts i really really like are number 1 + 7 hmm, may just convert him.
