[VOLGA 1918] Simbirsk railroads !?
« on: February 11, 2020, 10:29:02 AM »
Hi all

Also as part of my research into the 1918 campaign of the Reds against the Komuch:

I have sources but they are contradictory: was there a rail link between Simbirsk and, on the one hand, Penza and on the other hand, Syzran !?

Anyone have any information on this !? (Cuprum!?)

This is a map of the railways of Russia for 1915. The red and blue colors indicate the railways, which were strengthened for military transportation of the First World War.
On this map, I marked with green stripes the cities you are interested in: Simbirsk, Penza, Syzran (top to bottom). As you can see, railway communication is possible, but not directly.
