I've though about one of those magnifying lamps but finally settled on 'power' reading glasses - they act like magnifying glasses and can be found with different powers.  I got one that is 3 that works for me.  Helps see details I use to see no problem but aging eyes are not as good as those young ones used to be.

I am the same as FifteensAway, except I now use strength 4 glasses, they have really helped seeing the detail, now I'm an old git!

I periodically go through stages where I think "why am I so crap at painting?"  Then I switch out my readers for a higher magnification, and magically get better at painting.  lol

This lamp has definitely helped. Painting things like webbing etc is not a total nightmare now. Just a little bit 😂😂
