You may have a better chance of someone seeing this on the Wanted board? I can move it there if required?

I’m sure someone has asked for the plans in the past, but I think nothing came of it.

I’m thinking of buying these plans to make an Amazon or Darkest Africa riverboat:

Dan,
It's entirely upto you. Personally I'd say you can easily produce a simple plan to work from with out laying for pre drawn plans.
It only just occurred to me I did a thread on a universal paddle steam a couple of years ago ;D
(If you search' Tinshed paddle 'steamer it should come up)
These types of boats are very forgiving if your a little out of practice scratch building.
I normally use little more than recycled card and cocktail sticks. For these types of models.
The one in the picture is the one in the thread it's modular. The paddle housings aren't physically attatched nore are the superstructures it's possible to made a fishing boat coastal Puffer/trader. Q boat.and the same again as paddle steamer versions. Plus the version in the picture.

$2250 for plans!  Dan - DON'T DO IT!!!  :o  That's insanity incarnate.  Wait a minute, this is Dan we are talking about.  Maybe go ahead and buy them, then.  lol

CC, you should try a different service. Those plans are clearly meant to build a real boat. Therefore, while you could save money and buy the download, it would probably be incomprehensible when shrunk to gaming scale, as you will have hundreds of structural formers in the hull alone; this is a silly idea when you are just making a gaming piece.
Maybe you should try a model boat plan service:

Much cheaper, simpler plans, designed to be replicated in a form that will fit inside your house. Shrink them a bit, and they should still be understandable.

In fact, really, you could just find everything you are looking for at this level for free online.

I have to confess for that kind of money I'd want an engine and wheels.
The one's I make cost virtually nothing . I do mean virtually nothing .The one in the picture cost less than £1 and it only cost that because I used cheap super glue  (three 6.5ml tubes for a £1. I barely used any out of the second tube) rather than my exspensive stuff.
I think is very easy to over such projects .You could literally recreate something like Gary Chalks design using little mote than a pencil, ruler, coffee cup and a sharp knife.
Gary's model is elegant in it's simplicity to the point you could free hand it from an image search alone.
That quite a design achievement in it's own right

I have a very poor scan of just the plans but I have now been given the issue number. I can collect at the weekend and scan early next week if required. Would upload to onedrive or dropbox.

LOL.  I was really thinking of the $5 PDF file.  But I guess I could mortgage the house if the end result is spectacular.  :)

Hi !

If you do not mind

I suggest you take an interest in this plastic model:

The "Southern belle" of Lindberg, at 1/64 (25mm)

It's been a long time since I bought my copy but in my humble opinion, you should be able to find one at a reasonable price?

It's a solid foundation, perfect for your project!
