1:50 scale modern vehicle sources
« on: February 15, 2020, 12:42:41 PM »
Hello all.  I’m really looking for 1:50 / 28mm scale executive cars or limousines but I also will want eventually other modern vehicles at that scale.

I am struggling to find them...but with your help.....

Please post up your sources, maybe even pictures of cars and vehicles (perhaps with figures alongside for scale?)

Cheers

I will have a look at what I have that might be of use to you, problem is
I am hopeless on vehicle scales. I tend to go with what I think looks OK.
If I find anything I will bring it to Bob's next Saturday. Should fit in, as he is
doing Modern.

For cheap and cheerful might be worth giving the Siku super die-cast range of toys a look; most of those appear to be either 1:50th or 1:55; can usually be found on eBay for a few quid a pop

Most are 1/55. The 1/50 scale ones are notably more expensive.

Also  "Luxury SUV", three technicals and a Minivan.

They also do a HMMWV with lots of options.

Ainsty has a box van, but I suspect it is larger than 1/50.

Thanks Peter.

Keep them coming please guys.  I like the look of the Spectre suv but they are always out of stock!

There’s a diecast line called City Cruisers that make classic cars from the ‘60s and ‘70s, mostly convertibles that, despite what the box says (1/43) accurately scale out to 1/48.

If you are prepared to do a little conversion work then the Disney Pixar Cars toys are 1/55.
