Cheers Digits and Has.been.
Amazing what you buy as you leave a show, then leave it in a bag for a year or two, before you find them again.  lol

Fancied a cheap and cheerful bridge for up coming games.
Looked around for a cheeky girder brigade.
Plenty of shapes to choose from, at Warbases.
Ended up with this one.

Tarted it up with planking and rivet heads added.

A return to the middle east with a pilot rescue scenario.
Helicopter has come down in the east of a built up area and the Spetsnaz have been sent to recover the pilots before the local militias can capture them and parade them in front of the world's media.
The 3 insurgent players had 7 possible deployment spots they could choose around the city and the rescuers had 4 entry points on the western edge of the board that would be randomly diced for.

The Diman militia group deployed in the blown rear of an apartment building near to the government police station where, completely by luck, the rescuers entered the board in 2 BTR60's.
Not wanting to miss their chance they issued out from the very useful cover and let fly with an RPG which missed!
The BTR's ignored the attack and roared off down the road but the sentries at the road blocks didn't and a gun battle which was nothing to do with the mission occupied this group and the army for the rest of the game.
End result; 5 dead insurgents and 3 running away.

The Assan group deployed in a north eastern street and had chosen to bring along a truck mounted ZSU-23-2 for extra muscle.
Speeding down the road toward the crash site they cleverly did a handbrake turn with the truck and deployed the ZSU facing the crossroads the BTR's were bound to come to. Sure enough the lead BTR appeared and BANG! big hole and lots of smoke as the BTR rocked to a standstill. Unfortunately for the militia the spetsnaz had debussed the turn before which was going to be a problem  >:D
The street corner then erupted into fire as both sides exchanged shots and the Russians exacted revenge when a RPG26 tore the truck and it's gun to pieces. Realising they were losing the shooting match the militia closed for hand to hand (the first ever in a Spectre game for us) but fared no better, everyone died, yes everyone  lol
